Mellis Makes Team of The Week

Barnsley's weekend match winner Jacob Mellis has been named in the official Football League Championship Team of the Week.

  The 21 year old summer signing scored his first goal of the season, and his third in total for the club to secure a 1-0 win over Bristol City at Oakwell on Saturday.   The former Chelsea youngster becomes the second Reds player to make the Team of the Week this season after striker Craig Davies was named in the first one of the 2012-13 season for scoring the only goal against Middlesbrough.   The full Team of the Week is as follows:   GK: Ben Amos - Hull.   Defenders: Sam Hutchinson- Nottingham Forest, Abdoulaye Faye- Hull, Liam Moore- Leicester, Marcus Olsson- Blackburn.   Midfielders: James Henry- Millwall, Peter Whittingham- Cardiff, Craig Bryson- Derby, Jacob Mellis- Barnsley.   Strikers: Craig Mackail-Smith- Brighton, Jamie Ward- Derby.
