Mariners snare loan pair

Grimsby Town have snapped up two defenders on loan after signing Doncaster's Sam Hird and Rob Atkinson from Barnsley.
Hird has made just three appearances for the League One club this season and has been allowed to leave the Keepmoat Stadium.
The 20-year-old joined Rovers in the summer after being released by Leeds United.
Meanwhile, Atkinson has joined the Mariners on a month's loan.
The 20-year-old made eight first-team appearances for the Tykes last season and spent a month on loan at Rochdale during the current campaign.
