Magpies Offer Harewood Terms

League One outfit keen on ex-Reds loanee League One side Notts County have offered a two-year deal to former Barnsley loanee Marlon Harewood. Harewood has been released by Blackpool following their relegation from the Premier League and the 31-year-old has been linked with a move back to Oakwell. In his time at Oakwell after joining on loan in late February, an injury plagued spell limited him to just ten appearances for the Reds, but he netted 4 goals in the process. Whether new boss Keith Hill will follow up ex-boss Mark Robins' fondness of Harewood is another matter though, with the new man at the helm saying he would like to bring in "six or seven new faces". He told the Star: “I do need to bring in a few players, probably six or seven,” “The squad is good, but it’s not strong enough right now. The core of the players is good, but we do need more.”
