Luke hoping to Steele up

Barnsley goalkeeper Luke Steele has backed himself to cut out the errors as his side bid to climb the Championship table. The former Manchester United shot-stopper spilled a cross against QPR on the opening day which led to a goal then let in another soft goal in the 1-0 Carling Cup defeat to Rochdale. The gloveman was also at fault when he leaked another goal in the Tykes 3-3 draw with Bristol City last Saturday. "I can't afford to make too many more mistakes because otherwise I'll be out of the team," Steele admitted to The Star. "Hopefully I can make up for those mistakes during the rest of the season. "You'd like to think that over the course of the season you're luck evens out, I'm sure it will this season. All keepers make mistakes, but it's how you try and respond afterwards which counts."
