Midfielder becomes Robins third signing. As exclusively revealed on TykesMad last night, Reds boss Mark Robins has made Serbian midfielder Goran Lovre his third capture before May is even out! The 28 year joins from Dutch side FC Groningen where he has plied his trade for the last four years, scoring 22 times in 105 appearances. The former Serbia and Montenegro Under 21 international who has played Champions League and UEFA Cup football whilst at Partizan and Anderlecht can play anyway across the midfield, whether in an attacking or defensive role. Robins told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk: "I am very pleased to have signed Goran Lovre. He will be a great addition to the squad and will give us something extra going forward and will also get us goals. Beating of the interest from other clubs in the Premier League and Championship highlights that we are ambitious and he has bought into our plans and wants to be part of that at Oakwell."
