Barnsley boss Andy Ritchie has allowed defensive duo Ryan Laight and Thomas Harban to join Conference strugglers Tamworth on one-month loan deals.
The 20-year-olds are yet to make a first-team appearance for the Tykes this term and are looking forward to playing regular football at Tamworth.
Laight told Barnsley's official website: "I think the Conference will be more physical than anything I've been involved in before and I'm expecting it to be a lot more direct.
"It's been a little frustrating for the last few years and I'm looking forward to a new challenge after being stuck in the reserves. It's a chance to play and a chance to impress the gaffer here."
Harban added: "It's very pleasing to get the chance to go out and play some competitive football.
"I've played in the reserves for the last four years and I need to be playing competitive games."
The pair are likely to make their Tamworth debuts against Aldershot on Tuesday.
