Jamal offer tempts Tykes

Barnsley are discussing whether to accept a £1million bid, believed to be from Reading, for winger Jamal Campbell-Ryce.

Tykes boss Simon Davey says he has already turned down two bids for the 25-year-old Jamaica international but is considering the latest offer.

Campbell-Ryce moved to Oakwell from Southend United 18 months ago for £175,000 and has gone on to score ten times in 65 appearances for the Championship side.

"When you get bids of this size, it's a big temptation," said Davey.

"Sometimes you have to deal with losing players. I hope he stays, but I have to be realistic and there's a chance he may leave."
