Hume readmitted to hospital
25 Nov 2008 - 08:53:29
Barnsley striker Iain Hume has been readmitted to hospital after suffering complications in his recovery from a fractured skull.
The 25-year-old suffered the horrific injury which required emergency surgery following a challenge from Chris Morgan during a Championship game against Sheffield United on November 8.
The Canada international was initially released from a Manchester hospital last week but has now returned after falling ill.
"Iain complained of feeling unwell and started vomiting," Tykes owner Patrick Cryne told The Sun.
"His family sought medical advice and decided the best course of action was for Iain to go back into hospital as a precaution."
