Hume making good progress
05 Feb 2009 - 14:27:03
Barnsley physiotherapist Matt Konopinski has confirmed that Iain Hume is making good progress in his recovery from a life-threatening head injury.
The 25-year-old has needed extensive hospital treatment after suffering a fractured skull in the game against Sheffield United in early November.
However, Konopinski is hopeful that Hume is now making solid progress in his lengthy recuperation.
He told the club's official website: "Iain went for his scan last Friday and we have an appointment with the specialist next week where we will go through things.
"That will give us the opportunity to plan out the final parts of Iain's recovery.
"Iain is coming into Oakwell two or three times a week to do some work and he is looking bright."
Meanwhile, Konopinski will leave Oakwell later this month, having been offered a job with Premier League giants Liverpool.
