Hume discharged from hospital

Barnsley striker Iain Hume has been discharged from hospital after being readmitted earlier this week.

The Canada international is now back at home continuing his recovery from the fractured skull he sustained during the game against Sheffield United more than a fortnight ago.

The 25-year-old suffered the horrific injury which required emergency surgery following a challenge from Chris Morgan during the Championship game on November 8.

Hume was initially released from a Manchester hospital last week but was forced to return on Monday after falling ill.
