Barnsley captain Brian Howard insists he is happy at Oakwell and is in no rush to sign for another club this summer, despite reports to the contrary.
The 25-year-old former Swindon Town star was reported to be interesting several top-flight clubs after helping the Tykes survive in the Championship as well as reaching the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
Howard's current Oakwell deal is due to expire at the end of next season, but he said: "I'm happy at Barnsley. I like it. I'm under contract for another year and I'm enjoying my football.
"Obviously it's been a great season and I'm happy to stay. I'm club captain, which I enjoy a lot and am privileged to have, and I'm enjoying my football and we'll see what happens."
