But Rowing reassures him on future.
Barnsley boss Keith Hill has spoken out at continually having to "dodge grenades" during his time in the Oakwell hot seat.
The club's biggest away win in 22 years at the weekend was overshadowed by talk of a takeover at Oakwell, which according to reports, would put Hill's and his assistant David Flitcroft's futures in jeopardy.
Talking to the Sheffield Star Hill said:
“For whatever reason every time we try and turn a corner there’s a hand grenade waiting for us,”
“I’m getting fed up of it to be honest because we’re starting to see the progress we’ve made in the time me and Flicker have been at the club.
“The publicity about a possible takeover is not the kind we’re looking for, it can cast doubt about the future.
"But me and Flicker are determined to be successful here – and we know we will be.
The club's Chief Director Don Rowing has moved though to try and reassure Hill he will remain in charge whether the club is taken off owner Patrick Cryne's hands after eight years or not.
At this time there has been no firm offers for the club, just interest and Rowing said:
"Keith has been reassured, and he has had no pressure on him while he has been here.
"People do speculate on people's futures sometimes but, as far as we are aware and concerned, Keith will be with us for a long time."
