Hill Linked With Trio
Boss to land first signing over the weekend New Barnsley boss Keith Hill has been linked with a trio of new players as he looks to strengthen his new threadbare squad ahead of the 2011/12 season. Colchester midfielder David Perkins is the man expected to sign over the coming weekend. The 28-year-old played under Hill at Rochdale and is out of contract at the Colchester Community Stadium. Perkins was named Player of the Year at the Essex club this season. Another name linked with a switch to Oakwell is Manchester United starlet Nicky Ajose. The 19-year-old winger cum striker spent last season on loan to home town club Bury and netted 13 goals in 32 games. The third man possibly coming to the Reds is Chesterfield hitman Craig Davies. The 25-year-old Wales international fired the Spireites to League Two glory last season with 23 goals in 41 games. He has formerly been at Brighton and Oldham.
