Hill Blasts Reuben.

Twitter talk annoys boss.

Barnsley boss Keith Hill has publicly reprimanded young striker Reuben Noble-Lazarus for using Twitter to update the world over his ankle injury.

The social networking site is controversially becoming a major part of most professional footballers lives with high profile names such as Joey Barton and Jose Enrique using it to vent frustrations in recent weeks.

And now 18 year old Noble-Lazarus, who is the Football League’s youngest ever player and has made just two substitute appearances this campaign due to a niggling ankle problem has been ticked off by Hill for tweeting: “Trip to see the specialist today, need to get this ankle sorted.”

Hill said:

“Reuben shouldn’t be on Twitter for a starter. We’re talking about someone whose not even cut his teeth in professional football. If he wants to spend a lifetime Twittering, then maybe he should spend more time with Mark (Barnsley FC press officer Mark Stokes). Reuben should be concentrating on his career, unless he wants one in media. It’s typical of youth today."
