Barnsley manager Keith Hill has admitted he is very fortunate to still be in a job during The Reds recent dismal run in the Championship.
Hill’s side have had a dismal 2012, winning just three out of 13 games and dropping from 13th on New Years Eve after defeating Leeds 4-1, to 17th.
Hill is not the first Barnsley manager to witness a second half of the season collapse (Mark Robins won just six of the final 23 games of 2010-2011, and just six of the final 24 in 2009-2010, whilst Simon Davey won just four of the final 20 in 2008-2009) but Hill reckons most managers would have been given the chop if they had presided over a run similar to his which has seen Barnsley lost seven of their last 10 matches and face a rampant Reading tomorrow.
Hill told BBC Radio Sheffield:
"I'm not saying I'm doing everything superbly and I've made massive mistakes. I'm fortunate to still be in a job,"
"I'm absolutely devastated and appalled by our record over the last 20 games."
