Heslop set for Dale spell

Barnsley manager Simon Davey is willing to allow Simon Heslop to join Rochdale on loan.

The 21-year-old midfielder is currently training with the rest of the League Two side's squad after spending last season on loan with Halifax Town.

Heslop, who scored seven goals in 40 appearances for the Shaymen, has also been loaned out to Kidderminster Harriers, Tamworth and Northwich Victoria in the last three years.

Davey told the Tykes' official website: "Simon's been with Rochdale this week and is training with them with a view to a possible loan deal."
