Harewood joins Tykes

Marlon Harewood has joined Barnsley on an emergency loan deal from Blackpool until the end of the season. The much-travelled striker scored twice in Blackpool's opening Premier League game against Wigan but has found the net on just three occasions since then. Harewood's experience will be a valuable addition to the Oakwell outfit as he has scored 120 career goals in 400 league appearances. Tykes manager Mark Robins told the club's official website: "Marlon is a great addition to the squad. He has scored five Premier League goals this season and is a proven quality player. "I am looking forward to working with him for the rest of the season. "I would like to thank Blackpool FC and Ian Holloway for letting him come to Barnsley and also Patrick Cryne for getting this deal done."
