Hammill Update

Bid accepted from Premier League Sky Sports have today reported that Blackpool have had a bid accepted for winger Adam Hammill. The Seasiders are believed to have triggered the supposed £500,000 release clause amid rife speculation of the 22-year-old heading out of Oakwell. Several clubs have shown an interest in Hammill but the Scouser has allegedly said he would only leave Oakwell for the Premier League. In Mark Robins' pre-match press conference the Reds chief commented on the Hammill saga, perhaps suggesting the Blackpool bid could be smoke and mirrors. "The situation with Adam Hammill is out of my control and we do not know when or whether he will go. That does not help because we would have to look to replace him and where do you get another Adam Hammill? "We are trying to do that and maybe it might change the dynamic of the team but that all depends on the cost and package. Nobody has bid an amount that is acceptable to the club. The figure is there and it is out of our control really." Blackpool boss Ian Holloway has declared his interest in Hammill, talking to BBC Sport he said: "There are lots of people who would be interested in Adam Hammill," "His agent has done a good job and there is a clause in his contract which guarantees you can get him. "We're not the only ones who know that, but we like the boy and we've had him on loan here. "But he's not my player and there are a lot of things that have got to happen before he is." It remains to be seen whether Hammill will face Hull City at the KC Stadium on Saturday.
