Hallfredsson hoping to stake claim
Hallfredsson, who damaged medial ligaments in last month's 3-2 win at Derby, hopes to start in his country's friendly against South Africa in Reykjavik after playing for 84 minutes in Iceland's 3-1 win over Georgia on Saturday.
He missed four league matches for Barnsley due to his knee injury and returned to action when stepping off the substitutes' bench in the Tykes' recent win over Ipswich.
Hallfredsson has made six appearances for Barnsley since arriving on loan from Norwegian side Lyn Oslo in August.
