Going in the right direction - Robins

Barnsley manager Mark Robins is excited by the potential of his new-look squad as he bids to build a side which gains a reputation for playing passing football. Robins, who signed eight new players during the close season, has made no secret of his desire to follow the route taken by South Yorkshire neighbours Doncaster by adopting an attractive passing style that can be successful in the npower Championship. He said: "This is a new team and it does take a little time. We had a good pre-season and a poor week to start with but we saw some good things in that first seven days. "We had a good win and a decent performance against Crystal Palace and we are going in the right direction. "I'm enjoying working with and watching this group of players. They're trying to implement what we want and what we have been doing in training."
