Barnsley captain Stephen Foster believes that his side can start looking upwards towards the play-off places, following an eight-match unbeaten run.

The Tykes have powered clear of the drop zone in recent weeks and Foster believes that that trend can continue in the coming months.

He told the Sheffield Star: "We should be setting our standards high and looking towards the top of the table and towards the play-offs, because when you look around the squad there is a lot of ability and a lot of good players.

"The Christmas period is always a difficult time, especially with the number of games.

"But you're always aware that if you can produce some good results over the period, you can find yourselves in a great position come the New Year."
