Foster enjoys Tykes upturn

Barnsley captain Stephen Foster is delighted with his side's recent upturn in form, with the Tykes having taken eight points from their last four games.

Mark Robins' side have moved into a mid-table position as a result of their fine form, with Foster enjoying the progress at Oakwell.

He told the Yorkshire Evening Post: "We're more than pleased with the way things are going at the moment.

"We have worked hard as a team at becoming more solid and it's starting to show.

"It's very important we've had competition places, because no player goes into the game knowing that their place is secure.

"We all know we have to go out and perform to our maximum to make sure we retain our starting places. That can only be good for the squad and the team."
