FA confirm one-match Steele ban

Steele was deemed by referee Grant Hegley to have brought down Peter Lovenkrands on Saturday and was shown a straight red card with the scores at 0-0.[LNB]Lovenkrands converted the subsequent penalty and Mark Robins claimed afterwards that the incident turned the game as the 10 men went on to lose 6-1.[LNB]Robins insisted Steele had not made contact with Lovenkrands - the Dane later revealed he was unsure - and hinted he would appeal against the sending off.[LNB]But Barnsley opted against an appeal and the FA have confirmed Steele must serve a one-match ban, meaning he will miss Saturday's home clash with Crystal Palace.[LNB][LNB]
