Fourth player set to renew contract

Barnsley FC defender Jim McNulty has agreed a new one year deal, becoming the fourth player to commit his future to the club this summer.

He joins Kelvin Etuhu and Tom Kennedy, who both signed two year deals, as well as Jason Scotland who is tied down for another year at Oakwell. Meanwhile, Bobby Hassell and Luke Steele are mulling over one year deals, and Martin Cranie a two year contract.

28-year-old McNulty became one of the Hill/Flitcroft regime's first signings when he joined from Brighton in 2011. He has gone on to make 56 appearances for Barnsley, however his second season was blighted by injury.

He was named the Barnsley FC Players' Player of the Year in his first season at Oakwell.
