Deadline Day: Stones Moves To Everton

Full-back leaves in £3m deal.

John Stones has completed his deadline day move to Everton for a fee of £3m.

The 18-year-old England Under 19 international has signed a five and a half year contract at Goodison Park. He told the official Everton website:

"I am very excited to be joining Everton. I've been very impressed with everything I have seen at Finch Farm already. Now the hard work begins."

Stones came through the Academy system at Oakwell and made his debut for the club in March 2012 in a 4-0 home defeat to Reading. He scored his first goal for the club in the 4-3 Capital One Cup First Round victory at Rochdale in August 2012 and made 28 appearances in total.
