Barnsley have confirmed that tenacious midfielder Stephen Dawson will be out for six to eight weeks with ankle ligament damage.
The 27 year old who has been one of the Reds key performers during his 39 appearances this season, was stretchered off just 12 minutes into the 1-1 draw at Ipswich on Saturday.
The former Leyton Orient, Bury and Mansfield man will miss the FA Cup tie with Hull this weekend and league games against Millwall, Blackpool, Middlesbrough, Brighton, Wolves, Bristol City, Bolton, Burnley, Cardiff and Watford. He could return for the derby with Sheffield Wednesday on the 30th March.
