Davey downplays Forest link
29 Dec 2008 - 12:22:14
Barnsley boss Simon Davey his distanced himself from speculation linking him with the managerial vacancy at Nottingham Forest.
The Welshman has been mentioned as a possible successor to Colin Calderwood at the City Ground, but Davey insists he knows nothing of any possible interest.
He commented: "Nothing has been said to myself.
"I am Barnsley Football Club manager and I love being the manager and unless somebody tells me different, then nothing changes."
Meanwhile, Davey has confirmed that defender Rob Kozluk could be out for a month due to a facial injury sustained in the 1-1 draw with Preston North End.
He told the club's official website: "Rob has a hairline fracture of his cheekbone and will be out for up to four weeks. It will probably be a little less, but it is a blow to us.
"Rob has consistently been in the starting eleven all season and to lose a player like that is always hard to take. We have to fill that void now."
