Davey delighted with winger

Barnsley winger Jamal Campbell-Ryce took the plaudits after his goal secured a 1-0 derby victory at Sheffield Wednesday.

The 25-year-old netted the only goal of the game shortly before half-time at Hillsborough, to lift the Tykes three points clear of the Championship drop zone.

Boss Simon Davey said after the game: "He's a great lad to have and he always wants to learn. We've spent time with him over the last 14 months since he's come in.

"I think a lot of people will have said his end product wasn't what it should be and we worked on it with him.

"But it came from within him and he wanted to improve and he's now showing that he can produce all the skill, produce the pace, the aggression and he's now got an end product and he's becoming an all-round player."
