Davey happy to wait for transfers

The Tykes have only added Onome Sodje and David Preece to their squad so far this summer but Davey has several other targets, with Adam Hammill and Andy Gray reported to be in discussions with the Oakwell club. "We are having to be patient this season. We have targets, the same targets we have had for the last three weeks," Davey told the club's official website. "It's proving a bit difficult to overcome the final hurdle but we are close to getting three or four of our final targets and we're confident of getting them in the building. "We sign players and people don't realise that three or four clubs also come in for them. It's down to myself and the staff to sell the club to them and that's why it sometimes takes so long. "We have now become a Championship club, not a League One club trying to get in and stay in the Championship and we want to stay here for the long-term and to do that we have to improve the playing staff."
