Industrial recycling company CK Beckett have strengthened their sponsorship of Barnsley Football Club by striking a deal to become the main shirt sponsors for the 2011-2012 season .CK Beckett are already the Pontefract Road End stand sponsors and will now replace Barnsley Building Society as main club sponsors, after the bank decided to sever links with the club this summer. The two parties have a agreed a six figure three year deal and the club's managing director Don Rowing told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk: "For the past three years CK Beckett have become an integral part of Barnsley Football Club and we are delighted to see them increase their involvement even further. To have a local Barnsley company become the Club's principal sponsor is excellent news and I hope that other local companies will follow suit and see the value of aligning themselves with Barnsley Football Club, the foremost brand in the town." Many other sponsors have also followed suit this week with car dealers Perrys extending their "back of the shirt" sponsorship into a fifth year whilst hairdressers Dimensions have extended their Academy and Disabled Stand sponsorship. The club also broke new ground this week by striking a deal to have the players' shorts sponsored for the first time. Scaffold Services UK LTD will have their name emblazoned on club shorts from the start of next season. This follows hot on the heels from the revelation that Nike will replace Lotto as club merchandise providers next season.
