Burton snap up Barnsley defender

Burton Albion have eased their defensive problems by signing Barnsley centre-half O'Neil Thompson on a month-long loan, reports BBC Radio Derby.The Jamacia international will provide cover for the suspended Guy Branston and injured trio Aaron Webster, Richard Jackson and Darren Stride. [LNB]Brewers boss Paul Peschisolido said: "He's got a good range of passing and he's a very solid defender." [LNB]Thompson, 26, joined last August but has only started one league game. [LNB]
