Stones ready to roll again Barnsley teenager John Stones could return to the starting line-up in the home clash with Peterborough. The 18-year-old defender missed the recent 5-0 win at Birmingham due to an ankle injury, but stepped off the substitutes' bench early in the second half of Saturday's home draw with Ipswich. Another defender, Bobby Hassell, is available following suspension, but was not included in the squad at the weekend, while Toni Silva is having to be patient before making his first appearance after recovering from a knee injury. The former Liverpool winger had returned to full training ahead of the Ipswich game, but was another player not included in manager Keith Hill's squad. Hill, who has no new injury or suspension problems, must decide whether to recall Luke Steele in goal or retain Ben Alnwick. Teenage striker Danny Rose hopes to play a bigger part after his appearance as a second-half substitute on Saturday, while winger Matty Done, plus midfielders Kelvin Etuhu and David Perkins are pushing for recalls. Saido Berahino will be included in the Peterborough squad, although the teenager is likely to start on the bench. West Brom striker Berahino linked up with Posh on Monday in a loan deal that will see him remain at London Road until the start of January. Darren Ferguson saw his side get their first points of the season on the board with a surprise 3-1 victory at Hull on Saturday and the Peterborough boss may be tempted to name an unchanged team when Posh visit Yorkshire for the second time in four days on Tuesday night. That would mean that Gabriel Zakuani and other experienced heads such as Danny Swanson, Lee Tomlin and Grant McCann remain as substitutes.
