O'Brien fit for Forest test

Barnsley midfielder Jim O'Brien is expected to return to the squad for the home game against Nottingham Forest.

O'Brien missed last week's 5-0 defeat at Huddersfield through illness but is back in contention and could start, with boss Danny Wilson likely to make one or two changes.

Striker Marcus Pedersen misses out after sustaining a knock for Norway Under-23s in midweek, while Paddy McCourt (Northern Ireland) and Brek Shea (USA) are expected to return from international duty unscathed.

Tomasz Cywka hopes to return to the squad after missing out last week, while fellow midfielder Martin Woods and defender Jean-Yves Mvoto are pushing for recalls.

Guy Moussi could come back into the reckoning as Forest look to get their Sky Bet Championship play-off challenge back on track.

The midfielder missed out against Wigan last weekend through injury as the Reds suffered a second successive loss which extended their winless run to three league matches.

A pelvic problem forced off Eric Lichaj in that game and the full-back looks likely to miss the next month, joining fellow defenders Kelvin Wilson (back) and Jack Hobbs (ankle) and midfielders Andy Reid (hernia), Henri Lansbury (back) and David Vaughan (knee) on the sidelines.

Forest boss Billy Davies will begin a five-match touchline ban at Oakwell after being charged with misconduct by the Football Association.
