Mellis returns for Tykes

Barnsley midfielder Jacob Mellis returns to contention for the home game against Millwall following suspension.

Mellis has served a three-game ban following his straight red card in the recent defeat at Sheffield Wednesday, while Chris O'Grady, Paddy McCourt, Jack Hunt and Ryan McLaughlin all hope to overcome minor niggles in time.

Striker O'Grady was replaced at half-time in the midweek defeat at Wigan due to a knock, winger McCourt is nursing a minor injury sustained after stepping off the bench and Hunt missed out in midweek through an unspecified injury.

Right-back McLaughlin, on loan from Liverpool, returned to action following a hamstring injury and was withdrawn as a precaution.

Shane Lowry comes back into the reckoning for Millwall ahead of their trip.

Lowry is available for the first time in five matches after serving a suspension, and his return, along with the signing of Federico Bessone, boosts manager Ian Holloway's defensive options.

Former Swansea, Leeds and Charlton full-back Bessone joined the Lions this week on a deal until the end of the season.

Defender Mark Beevers and midfielder Nicky Bailey could miss out once more with calf and back injuries respectively.
