Scotland set for Tykes bow

Barnsley's new signing Jason Scotland will go straight into their squad for the home npower Championship clash with Millwall.

Scotland signed a permanent deal until the end of the season in time to be included following his release last week from Ipswich.

Tykes manager David Flitcroft could throw the 33-year-old straight into his starting line-up if Chris Dagnall fails to shake off injury.

Dagnall scored the winner in the weekend FA Cup win at Hull, but was stamped on in the process and is doubtful after being forced off soon after with a bruised foot.

Defenders Bobby Hassell and Scott Wiseman both sustained knocks at the KC Stadium and could face late fitness tests.

Flitcroft has no other new injury or suspension problems, but will still be without midfielder Stephen Dawson (ankle) and defender Jim McNulty (hamstring).

Barnsley, unbeaten in their last four matches, can climb out of the bottom three if they can secure their third straight home win.

Shane Lowry returns to the Millwall squad.

The defender has missed the last two games, including Friday's 2-1 FA Cup win over his former club Aston Villa, through suspension after picking up 10 bookings this season.

Scott Malone is also poised to return having missed the last five matches with a back injury and fellow wideman Martyn Woolford is available after being cup-tied.

However, striker Nathan Tyson misses out again with an ankle injury and skipper Paul Robinson remains sidelined due to a groin problem.

Defender Adam Smith plays the final game of his current loan spell from Tottenham, although Lions boss Kenny Jackett hopes to extend the deal until the end of the season.
