O'Brien doubt for Tykes

Barnsley midfielder Jim O'Brien is an injury doubt for the midweek home game against Leicester.

O'Brien returned to the starting line-up in the weekend win against Nottingham Forest after missing out the previous week due to illness, but sustained a knee injury and was forced off in the closing stages.

Bobby Hassell remains sidelined due to the calf injury that has kept him out since Boxing Day, while fellow defender Ryan McLaughlin, on loan from Liverpool, is not ready to return following a hamstring problem.

Striker Marcus Pedersen (hamstring) will not feature as the Reds bid for back-to-back wins for the first time this season.

Leicester resume Sky Bet Championship action with an unchanged squad.

The league leaders have not played since defeating Charlton 3-0 at the King Power Stadium nine days ago as Wigan's involvement in the FA Cup at the weekend left them without a game.

Other than long-term absentees Sean St. Ledger (knee) and Tom Hopper (shin), the only injury concern for the Foxes is Lloyd Dyer (Achilles) who is likely to miss the trip to South Yorkshire after also sitting out the victory over the Addicks.

The likes of Dean Hammond, Andy King, Liam Moore, Gary Taylor-Fletcher, Kevin Phillips and Chris Wood are options for manager Nigel Pearson should he wish to make any changes to his starting line-up.
