Three missing for Tykes

Barnsley trio Ryan Williams, Marcello Trotta and Paul Digby are all on international duty and will miss Friday night's home game against Colchester.

Winger Williams, on loan from Fulham, is away with Australia, Fulham striker Trotta is with Italy Under-21s and midfielder Digby has been included in the England Under-20s squad.

Manager Danny Wilson, who has no new injury or suspension problems, could recall Manchester City striker Devante Cole in Trotta's absence, while winger Keith Treacy will be hoping to step in for Williams.

The Reds are bidding for a third straight win and could extend their unbeaten run to four matches.

Colchester are expected to hand a second debut to on-loan defender Elliott Hewitt, who rejoined the club from Ipswich this week.

The U's also signed West Ham teenager Jamie Harney on loan this week and he could be included in manager Tony Humes' plans, while West Brom striker Kemar Roofe is hoping to make his league debut after appearing off the bench last week.

Midfielder David Fox has been struggling with a dead leg sustained in the FA Cup win at Gosport Borough, but he is expected to be fit to start again.

The U's have lost just one of their last six matches in all competitions.
