Nyatanga may miss out for Tykes
Barnsley defender Lewin Nyatanga could miss the home game against Chesterfield due to an eye injury.
Nyatanga took a blow during the closing stages of Monday's defeat at Colchester and later required stitches to a cut so boss Lee Johnson will make a late decision.
Peter Ramage, on loan from Crystal Palace, could return to the starting line-up if Nyatanga fails to make it. Fellow defender Jean Yves Mvoto (groin) remains doubtful.
Johnson has no other new selection problems, while striker Sam Winnall is hoping to play a bigger role as the Reds bid to keep their outside play-off hopes alive.
Chesterfield boss Paul Cook has a full squad available as the Spireites look to strengthen their grip on a play-off place with a fifth straight victory.
Any changes are likely to be kept to a minimum but Cook has plenty of options should he wish to freshen his starting line-up.
Centre-half Charlie Raglan, midfielder Ollie Banks, versatile veteran Ritchie Humphreys and forwards Dan Gardner, Armand Gnanduillet and Byron Harrison all began on the bench against Crewe on Monday.
Full-back Dan Jones and striker Emmanuel Dieseruvwe were overlooked against Alex and will hope to return to the matchday squad at Oakwell.
