Etuhu banned for Reds

Barnsley will be without suspended defender Kelvin Etuhu for their home game against Burnley.

Etuhu, recalled to the side at right-back in the last three matches, was sent off in Saturday's goalless home draw against Brighton for two yellow-card offences and sits out a one-game ban.

Jack Hunt, on loan from Crystal Palace, returned to the squad following an ankle injury at the weekend and could be recalled in defence, while Bobby Hassell is also in contention.

Boss Danny Wilson has no other new selection issues, but striker Marcus Pedersen, plus defenders Peter Ramage and Martin Cranie (all hamstring) remain sidelined.

Burnley's automatic promotion bid could receive a huge fillip with both top scorer Danny Ings and Kieran Trippier possibly about to return.

Sky Bet Championship Player of the Year Ings has missed the Clarets' last five fixtures with an ankle problem but has been back training on the grass for nearly a week.

Meanwhile, right-back Trippier, last week revealed by Opta to be the division's leading assist maker this season, has also been back in full training following a hamstring problem.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche will be able to bring Dean Marney into his midfield after he served a two-game suspension but Wales international forward Sam Vokes (knee) is out for the season.
