Alex Mowatt available for Barnsley against Brighton after three-match suspension

Barnsley will have midfielder Alex Mowatt back after his three-match suspension for the visit of second-placed Brighton.

Paul Heckingbottom's men, up to ninth and near the fringes of the play-off picture after their midweek win at Aston Villa, are still without defender Aidy White because of his pelvic injury.

Midfielder Josh Scowen missed Tuesday's trip to Villa with the ankle injury he sustained at Reading last weekend.

George Moncur filled in for Scowen and played the whole 90 minutes in his first start for the Tykes, while centre-half Adam Jackson was an unused substitute after missing out against the Royals because of illness.

Brighton have no fresh injury concerns for Saturday's match.

Chris Hughton could make changes for his 100th league match in charge of Albion, who play for the fifth time in February.

Full-back Gaetan Bong (knee) is expected to miss out again.

Liam Rosenior (foot) is nearing a return after appearing for Brighton's under-23s on Monday.
