Pedersen worry for Reds

Barnsley striker Marcus Pedersen is doubtful for the home game against Brighton due to a hamstring problem.

The Norwegian sustained the injury in last week's win at Yeovil and his replacement, Rueben Noble-Lazarus, could return to the starting line-up although Nick Proschwitz is also in contention.

Manager Danny Wilson has no other new selection issues but defenders Peter Ramage, Martin Cranie (both hamstring) and Jack Hunt (ankle), on loan from Crystal Palace, are still out.

Barnsley are chasing a third straight win to further boost their survival bid following away wins at Reading and Yeovil.

Craig Mackail-Smith and Will Hoskins are in contention for Brighton after more than a year on the sidelines.

Mackail-Smith has been out since rupturing an Achilles last March and Hoskins has undergone two knee operations in 12 months, but the strike duo are in the frame to make their comebacks either at Oakwell or at Leicester the following Tuesday.

Midfielder Rohan Ince is a doubt having gone off against Blackburn in midweek with a dead leg so Dale Stephens could be recalled after climbing off the bench to score in the 3-3 draw.

Right-back Bruno is suspended for 10 bookings while wingers Will Buckley (hamstring) and Andrea Orlandi (thigh) are set to miss out again.
