Swansea maintained their push for the play-offs with a comprehensive victory over Barnsley at Oakwell. Jordi Gomez was the hero providing the opening goal as Ashley Williams headed home in the second minute. Gomez scored with a low 25-yard shot into the left corner in the 36th minute as the Swans led 2-0 at the interval. Swansea sealed it when Jason Scotland pounced on a mistake by Barnsley keeper Heinz Muller before Daniel Bogdanovic scored a penalty for the home side. Swansea manager Roberto Martinez: "I don't think it was comfortable. Obviously the first goal was going to be vital because you are looking at the need for both sides to win for different reasons.
