Barnsley striker Neil Austin has signed a new contract that will keep him at Oakwell until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old had been on week-to-week terms with the Tykes since the beginning of the season, but his recent form has earned him a permanent deal.
"Neil has shown his commitment to the club by signing until the end of the season," Barnsley chairman Peter Ridsdale told the club's official website.
"We intend to enter into talks at the end of March with a view to extending his deal into future years."
