Arrest over Wallwork stabbing

Greater Manchester Police have arrested a 20-year-old man on suspicion of attempting to murder West Bromwich Albion defender Ronnie Wallwork.
The 29-year-old former Manchester United player, who is currently on loan at Championship side Barnsley, was stabbed in the back, hands and stomach in a Manchester night spot last week.
"Police have arrested a 20-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder following the recent stabbing of a 29-year-old man at a city centre bar," said a spokesman for Greater Manchester Police.
"The 20-year-old handed himself into a Manchester police station at about midday today (Thursday). He remains in police custody for questioning."
