Barnsley's bright start to the season has suffered a setback after it was confirmed that Istvan Ferenczi could be sidelined for the next three weeks.
The Hungarian striker sustained an ankle injury in Saturday's Championship clash against Cardiff City.
Manager Simon Davey told the club's official website: "Istvan has a badly sprained ankle and he's badly swollen and sore today.
"Both the physio and club doctor think that he could be out for something like three weeks."
Ferenczi has already been ruled out of this week's games against Bristol City and Charlton Athletic.
