Anderson targets Tykes return
The Brazilian will not play in either of the club's two friendlies against Frickley and Gainsborough on Tuesday, but is expected to be fit for Saturday's game.
"Anderson has an ankle problem so we will have to see how he recovers. We expect him to be ok for the weekend," Barnsley boss Simon Davey told the club's website.
De Silva made 33 appearances and scored two goals for the Tykes last season in a campaign that was interrupted with injury and suspension.
