Crucial South Yorkshire derby ends in controversial defeat as Reds stretch winless run to 11 matches and the Owls, who had the worst away record in the Championship, stop their slide of seven straight defeats.........
……….It is the longest winless run now for Barnsley in eight years. Back in 2004 they went 11 League One games without victory.
It also stretches their abysmal winless run at Oakwell to nine games, their worst run at home for 41 years since they also went eight without a win at the start of the 1971-72 season. The Reds won their first home game of that campaign, 4-2 against Walsall but then suffered three draws and five defeats before a 2-1 win over Oldham in November.
