Stimson rues Bees` bad luck

Boss Mark Stimson felt Barnet were unfortunate to lose to fellow strugglers Stockport. George Donnelly put County ahead six minutes after the break, only for Izale McLeod to level. But the Hatters were not to be denied and Greg Tansey`s six-minute double, the second from the penalty spot, earned them the points. The game was in doubt upto the morning of the match after the Underhill pitch was covered in snow and Stimson may have wished an army of volunteers had not turned up to clear it, but paid tribute to them. "It was a fantastic effort by the ground staff and volunteers to get the pitch in such good condition," he said. "We started the game really well and maybe should have been one or two up after 10 minutes but it just went the wrong side of the post for us and unfortunately we went in 0-0 at half-time and then we came out and conceded. "But we got back into the game with a decent goal but after that like all games it is about decisions. We had a fantastic shout for a penalty but we didn't get it and then 30 seconds after having a great one-on-one Stockport broke away, went up the other end and made it 2-1."
