Stimson over the moon

Barnet boss Mark Stimson was delighted to register only the club`s second win of the season with a 2-0 triumph over fellow strugglers Hereford. The Bees took a 14th-minute lead when Steve Kabba carved out a chance for Mark Marshall to stroke past Adam Bartlett. Bartlett was then left embarrassed late on as Barnet grabbed a freak second via Michael Townsend`s own goal. The Bulls keeper completely missed Townsend's back pass and failed to scramble the ball the safety as it crossed the line. Stimson said: "I`m very pleased with the players because they`ve put so much work in and they deserve to start seeing results. "I`m also delighted for the supporters because they`ve stuck with us, so we really need to try and build on this and keeping heading in the right direction. "I`m especially pleased with Jake Cole, who kept a clean sheet and that was the icing on the cake on a good day for all. We may not have scored all of our chances but we`ve got Izale McLeod coming in and were excited to have signed a striker like him."
