Barnet have appointed former Gillingham boss Mark Stimson as their new manager.
The Bees parted company with Ian Hendon in the build-up to the final day of the season, when a 1-0 victory over Rochdale preserved their Football League status.
Stimson, 42, was sacked by Gillingham after they suffered relegation from League One, but he was out of work for less than a month as chairman Tony Kleanthous selected him from a lengthy list of candidates.
"We went through a very vigorous selection process and have chosen Mark mainly because of his experience in the game and at our level and also because of his over-riding enthusiasm for good football," Kleanthous told Barnet's official website.
"Because of all the investment we need to push for promotion next season."
Stimson added: "I enjoy an attacking style of football. I try to win games and to entertain. That's what the fans like to get them off their seats."
